Section 1.1: Signing In and Onboarding
Welcome to ABRAM Network. This guide outlines how to sign in, use corporate login portals, and complete your initial workspace onboarding using the multi-step Onboarding Wizard.
1. Signing In & Authentication
ABRAM Network offers secure, passwordless authentication for standard users, alongside Enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO) for corporate accounts.
Authentication Methods
- Standard Users (Magic Links & Social Sign-In): You can log in securely using passwordless Magic Links sent to your email, or by using social sign-in (Google or Microsoft). This eliminates the need to manage another password.
- Enterprise Users (Single Sign-On / SSO): If you belong to an organization on our Enterprise tier, your IT administrator can configure corporate SSO (SAML/OIDC). This allows team members to log in using their central identity provider (e.g., Okta, Microsoft Azure AD, or Google Workspace).
- To log in via SSO, select Sign In with Enterprise SSO on the login page and enter your organization's email domain or unique SSO identifier.
Accessing the Platform
When you visit the platform login page, you will see a clean loading interface as you are automatically redirected to the secure authentication portal.
- Enter your work email address or use your organization's identity provider (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Azure AD, Okta).
- If your organization has corporate SSO configured, you will be linked directly to your corporate login portal.
Deep-Linking & SSO Parameters: The platform supports deep-linking. You can share URLs containing parameters to pre-fill email addresses or specify organization single sign-on portals directly, streamlining the sign-in flow for team members.
Preserving Invitations and Referrals
If you are joining the network via an invitation link or a referral code:
- Pending Project Invites: Clicking a project invite link remembers your invitation details. Once you sign in, the platform automatically links you to the project you were invited to.
- Organization Invites: Invitation codes are automatically saved to place you directly into the correct organization.
- Referral Codes: Referral links are recognized during signup so that both you and your referrer receive credit upon launching your workspace.
These referral, project, and organization parameters are stored in temporary session memory to survive the redirection to your authentication provider. If a referral verification fails, the system logs the incident for administrative review.
Once authentication is complete:
- If your profile is already configured with a platform role, you are immediately routed to your dashboard (Producer Dashboard or Freelancer Dashboard).
- If you are a new user, you will be redirected to the Onboarding Wizard to set up your workspace.
2. The Onboarding Wizard
The Onboarding Wizard is a multi-step setup flow. All information entered is saved temporarily and is not finalized until you click the final Launch Workspace button.
Onboarding Timeout Safeguard: When you open the wizard, the system checks for any pending invitations. If this query takes longer than 10 seconds due to a network delay, the system will automatically bypass the wait screen and proceed to a fresh setup so that you are not blocked. You can still link your invitations manually from your settings once your workspace is open.
Step 0: Workspace Setup
Before configuring details, you must choose your organizational structure:
- Independent: Choose this if you are a solo professional, individual creator, or freelancer managing your own producer relationships.
- Organization: Choose this if you are representing an agency, studio, or corporate team collaborating across multiple productions.
- Terms & Privacy: To proceed, you must check the box agreeing to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
- AI Feature Consent (Optional): You can optionally consent to allow ABRAM to use your workspace data (such as project schedules and descriptions) to train and improve its AI assistance features.
[!NOTE] TOS for Invited Users: If you were invited directly to an organization, you bypass this structure step entirely and proceed to role selection. In this scenario, you will be prompted to review and accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy on the final Review step.
Step 1: Primary Role
Select the role that matches your workflow on ABRAM. This determines the features, dashboards, and pages you will access.
- Producer: Choose this if you commission productions, manage project budgets, hire creative teams, and distribute milestone payouts.
- Freelancer / Crew: Choose this if you deliver production services, submit deliverables, track equipment, and receive milestone payouts.
[!NOTE] Even if you are joining an existing organization via invitation, you can change your role if the invitation role does not accurately describe your day-to-day workflow.
Step 2: Details & Attachments
Provide basic information about your company or yourself. The requested fields depend on your chosen structure and role:
| Workspace Type & Role | Fields Requested | Notes | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | Independent Producer | Full Name, Location (City, State), Timezone, Mailing Address, Industry / Production Focus | Focus options include Social Media Content, Commercials, Podcasts, etc. | | Organization Producer | Full Name, Location, Timezone, Company Name, Business Address, Team Size, Industry / Production Focus | Team sizes scale from "1–10" up to "500+". | | Independent Freelancer | Full Name, Location, Timezone, Mailing Address, Resume / Gear List / Rate Sheet (Optional) | Upload a PDF, DOC, or DOCX (up to 10MB) to help match you to projects. | | Organization Freelancer | Full Name, Location, Timezone, Company Name, Business Address, Team Size, Studio Deck / Gear List / Rate Sheet (Optional) | Upload a studio deck (up to 10MB) to showcase your collective capabilities. |
- Location & Timezone Autocomplete: Enter your city and state to let the system automatically detect your local timezone. This ensures your project timelines and calendar bookings align correctly.
Step 3: Review & Launch
The final step displays a summary card of your setup choices:
- Double-check your account info, organization details, location, and uploaded files.
- Review the Terms of Service. If you were invited directly to a project, you must check the box to agree to the terms here.
- Click Launch Workspace. A short launch animation will play as the platform sets up your account, registers your organization membership, and configures your workspace dashboard.
To prevent empty dashboards and duplicate records, the platform enforces several gates during workspace launch:
- Organization Name Uniqueness: The system verifies that your organization name is unique. If a duplicate is found, it will ask you to rename it.
- Roster Membership Verification: The system runs a brief verification loop to confirm your profile is fully linked to the organization roster before redirecting you to your dashboard.
3. Step-by-Step UI Navigation
To guide you through the process, here are the exact on-screen actions you will perform:
- Accessing the Login Screen: Navigate to the platform URL. If you are not signed in, you will be shown the Login page.
- Authenticating:
- To use SSO: Click Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft, or type your organization email address and click Sign In with Enterprise SSO.
- To use Email: Type your personal email address and click Sign In with Magic Link. Check your email inbox and click the sign-in button.
- Navigating the Wizard:
- Workspace Structure: Click either the Independent card (for individuals) or the Organization card (for companies). Check the Terms of Service checkbox. Click the Next Step button at the bottom-right of the screen.
- Role Selection: Click either the Producer card or the Freelancer / Crew card. Click the Next Step button.
- Form Entry: Type your name into the Full Name field. Start typing your city in the Location field and select your matching city/state from the autocomplete dropdown list. If desired, drag-and-drop a PDF/DOCX file onto the dashed file upload zone. Click Next Step.
